Geo App respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your Personal Data. We want to be transparent with you about how we collect and use your Personal Data in making available our platform, mobile application and/or website(s) (“Platform”) and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
You agree with the permissions you give us and the way we use data that Geo App collects and the way that data is used. We may from time to time contact you via email. We comply with GDPR and respect your rights detailed within these regulations.For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 as amended from time to time (“DPA”), we may be a data controller or processor of the data we hold that may be used to identify you (“Personal Data”) depending on the purpose of processing.
DATA WE COLLECT
We will collect the following personal data when you interact with the Platform:
? Authentication and identification information (e.g. your name, email address, and password). This information is necessary to set up and log you into your account, but you do have the option to make purchases without creating a password. However, you have the ability to make purchases without making a password.
? Basic personal details (e.g. your name and date of birth). We will also automatically collect personal data when you interact with the Platform through your mobile device. This personal data includes the following:? Analytics data (e.g. preferences and how Geo Rewards are used), which may include data collected from cookies and other types of device identifiers;
? Profile inputs.This may include data about your location. With respect to geolocation information collected from your mobile device, we will only collect this where you have provided consent. Geo location data is essential for Geo App to work.
We do not collect any “Special Categories of Personal Data” about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data).
You can manage the types of personal data you provide to us and can limit how we communicate with you. However, the more you tell us about yourself and your preferences, the more relevant and valuable your experience with our Platform and Services will be.You can manage your push notification and location information by adjusting the settings in our mobile application:
? Push notifications and location information. Your device and the Geo App provide you with options to control push notifications and how and when we collect your geolocation. You can disallow our use of certain location data through your device or browser settings, for example, by disabling “Location” services for the Geo application in Apple’s iOS and Android privacy settings, or by disabling “Location” services for your device. However, the Geo App needs to use your location information and send push notifications to function fully.
? Cookies. When using the Platform, you can manage how your browser handles cookies. You may also manage how your mobile device and mobile browser share information on and about your devices with us, as well as how your mobile browser handles cookies.
In accordance with applicable law, you may (i) request access to any personal data we hold about you; (ii) request that it be updated, rectified, deleted or blocked; (iii) request that we delete personal data we hold about you; (iv) request that we restrict our processing of your personal data; and (v) request that we provide you or a third party with a copy of certain personal data about you (that is referred to as the right of “data portability”). You can also object to any of our uses of your personal data described in this policy, including our marketing activities. You may also revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data, to the extent consent was required and provided by you.
Typically, you will not have to pay a fee to access your Personal Data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, except in relation to Consent Withdrawal, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive, or, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity to exercise any of your rights, including those related to data protection). This is a security measure to ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
HOW WE USE DATA
We control and process the personal data you provide to us, which we collect from other sources, and which we generate to:? Create your account when you sign up and log you in, which is necessary for us to provide our services to you in accordance with the Terms and Conditions;? Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform by analysing how you and our other customers use and interact with it. This is to meet our legitimate business interests in providing the Platform and ensuring that it provides the best experience for our customers;?
Establishing and analysing individual and group profiles and customer behaviour, in order to determine your or others interest in certain types of offers and services. We do this by analysing your interactions with the Platform and your other personal data to determine what your interests are, and what sorts of products and services people with similar interests also buy, which helps us understand what products and services you may be interested in viewing.
This is to meet our legitimate interests in understanding the types of products and services our customers are interested in, and to provide the most relevant products to you and our other customers;? Manage our everyday business needs, such as administration of the Site, forum management, fulfillment, analytics, fraud prevention, and enforcement of our corporate reporting obligations and Terms and Conditions or to comply with the law; ?
Comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We do this where necessary to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject, or to meet our legitimate interests in enforcing our legal rights and resolving disputes or verifying payments and preventing fraud.
GEO PARTNERS AND YOUR DATA
Geo App uses your personal data internally for analytical purposes and other internal processes. We may aggregate your data with that of other users for use in the same way. This information may be shared with our Geo Partners. We will never share information that identifies you as an individual unless expressly required to do by the law within the jurisdiction, country or continent you are resident in.Geo Partners also use the Data for analytical purposes, this may or may not influence the Geo Rewards they offer.
The data your Geo App collects will not be sold in a manner that identifies you but may be grouped in Aggregated Data to represent a group of Geo customers. Our partners, while being able to use data that has been collected, shall not sell or make available outside the scope of their contract with Geo App. Sale of such data by our partners will be contractually prohibited.
The Geo Platform has implemented an information security program that contains administrative, technical and physical controls that are created with the express purpose of safeguarding your personal data. Our system includes industry-standard encryption technology. Despite this, we understand that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We cannot, therefore, guarantee its absolute security at all times. SHARING DATAAggregated forms of data which do not directly identify you as an individual from time to time may be used outside the EEA for Geo business support and development purposes.
IF WE SHARE YOUR DATA
We may use the data collected in aggregate form for the purpose of raising funds if needed. We may also share your aggregated data outside the EEA (European Economic Area) for business support and development purposes.
OUR POLICY ON CHILDREN
RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
We will retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you Services. If you close your account, we will retain your personal data for a period where it is necessary to continue operating our business effectively, to maintain a record of your transactions for financial reporting purposes or fraud prevention purposes until these purposes no longer exist, and to retain as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
